I am an Iranian woman who is a mother, sister, daughter, and friend. I have experience working in the social services field, teaching, and caring for children and seniors.

Years of enduring domestic violence and navigating the Canadian legal system have given me a wealth of knowledge that I want to share with others going through similar experiences.  As a result of cultural oppression and growing up in a collectivist setting, I assumed that abuse was normal and acceptable, and I had no prior awareness and voice about abuse, I spent 44 years doubting the validity of my existence and the worth of my life.  I, therefore, lived a lie, hid the abuse, and concealed the true me!

If I could survive this, escape, and build a lovely, safe, and peaceful home for myself, my child, and my animals, you can accomplish these too

It all comes down to one most important thing in life:

     The choices we                 make!
